The Old Style Siamese International Breed Club
ARTICLE 1 - NAME
This club shall be named ‘The Old Style Siamese International’, hereinafter referred to as the ‘Club’.
ARTICLE 2 – AFFILIATION AND NATURE
The Club is a nonprofit cat breed club not affiliated with any cat association at this time. No part of the club’s profits, funds, or assets shall be used to the benefit or profit of any individual(s).
ARTICLE 3 – OBJECTIVES
The objectives of this club are:
ARTICLE 4 – MEMBERSHIP
Membership shall be open to persons who breed and exhibit such cats and the breed enthusiasts. Persons interested in the objectives of this club may send their application to the club for approval by the Executive Board. Applications will be accepted or declined within 30 days. The Executive Board shall not be required to give reasons for accepting or refusing membership.
ARTICLE 5 – OFFICERS AND EXECUTIVE BOARD
This club shall be managed by the officers (comprising President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and the Committee. These are elected by the membership and serve as the Executive Board, which is chaired by the President. The officers shall serve for two years and may stand for re-election. A Committee shall be elected by the members. Committee members shall serve for three years and may stand for re-election.
ARTICLE 6 – MEETINGS
Meetings will be called on an as needed basis. All meetings shall be presided over by the President. In the President’s absence the Vice-President shall take the chair.
ARTICLE 7 – DUES
Membership is free at this time.
ARTICLE 8 – DISSOLUTION
Upon dissolution of the Old Style Siamese International Club for any reason, all of its assets, after payment of its just obligations, shall be donated to any non-profit organization which is dedicated to a well-being of cats.
ARTICLE 9 – AMENDMENTS
This Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the club’s membership. Proposed amendments and a ballot shall be sent to each member at least 15 days before a vote may be taken. Ballots returned within 30 days after voting will be counted. Approved amendments will be effective 30 days after the membership is informed of the results of the voting.
